Neşe Erdok, the hero of sad paintings dominated by cool, tired and dramatic looks; She is a figure master who made significant contributions to Turkish Art within the understanding of modern painting. She is one of the female painters who left a mark in Contemporary Turkish Painting. In this research, the paintings of Erdok, one of the important representatives of the social reality period, were examined through her works by questioning the characteristics of her figures regarding their place in society and the effects of the mysterious scenes of metropolitan life. Within the scope of the research, books, articles and theses written about the artist's works were the source of the research. The internal reasons that create the phenomenon of reality have been the subject of research. It is aimed to interpret the phenomenon of reality in Neşe Erdok's works in a plastic language. The research was guided by the document review method. The research is limited to the phenomenon of reality and the examination of selected examples from the artist's works. Within the scope of the study, the phenomenon of reality was interpreted with the findings obtained through the narrative language of the artist’s works.
