1662670031 THE HEALING POWER OF ART IN THE CONTEXT OF BEUYS AND NATURE RELATIONSHIP

The ideas of Joseph Beuys, such as creating a new society, expanding the field and definition of art, and rebuilding art, paved the way for participatory and social art production. He combined his lifelong interest in ecology, nature, animals and botany with the concept of social sculpture, and today he remains one of the most important artists. He underlined that art has an educational, transformative role for society, and argued that all creative actions are included in art. His passion for nature and other living things has made him not only a radical ecologist, but also a pioneer emphasizing the role of art in creating ecological paradigms for the relationship between man and the natural environment. In the research carried out with the descriptive scanning model, a literature review was made about Beuys' art and works. The main purpose of this research is to examine Beuys's relationship with nature in the context of artistic production practice and philosophy of art. The effects of Shamanism and Anthroposophy on his thoughts and works, which envisage the healing of the individual and society through art, have been examined. It has been concluded that Beuys' discourses are still effective in today's art environment.
