The works shaped by British ceramic artist Phoebe Cummings ceramic clay are temporary and recyclable. The works that will realize the firing, which is a fundamental stage of ceramics, and this current presentation adopted in creating design are worth considering within the scope of their influence and participation in the art of ceramics. In order to better understand the artist within the scope of this study; usage of clay, production methods, ephemerality and the recyclable part of the works are discussed in terms of their connection with performance and the main factors in adopting this understanding as a ceramic artist. In this direction, the study was carried out by contacting the artist after preliminary research was carried out on printed sources, internet resources, the artist's website and interviews. The artist makes her works in museums and galleries, where she participates as an invited artist (art-in-residence). Her works which made in public spaces, the audience has the opportunity to watch the artist's production process. With this side, Cummings; she is an example of an artist profile producing in a museum or gallery from an artist profile producing in her workshop. It is the production process of planning, which turns into a kind of performance, and at the same time, aiming to be able to recycle the work is the target. The production approach adopted by Cummings can be evaluated as the reflection of the dynamic aspect of contemporary art to ceramic art and artists.
