1519043810 NEEDLE LACE HEADSCARF IN THE CULTURE HOUSE OF ISPARTA ELELE ASSOCIATION

Needle laces have a special place in Turkish handicrafts. It is applied to various areas such as home decoration, accessories, clothing goods. In addition to being an important element of dowries, needle-tied headcoverings in these clothing items are also important for women to cover, decorate, ornament or create financial support. As it is possible to come across in almost every region of our country, in Isparta women usually apply needle rolls according to the color of the headscarf or the pattern inside. In this study, samples of needle-tied headscarves among the traditional artifacts found in the Isparta Hand in Hand Association Cultural House were identified and shown with photographs by examining the tools, colors, motifs, composition and technical features used.
The details of the 9 different types of needle lace headscarf 17 samples reached in total are described in the article.
