1516701506 THE WRITTEN EPIC OF AZERBAIJAN CALLED SHEHRIYAR AND THE IMAGE OF GEORGIA IN THIS WORK

The manuscript of the epic “Shehriyar” is found in the archive of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Fuzuli, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. This manuscript of the 18th century was published by transcribing from the Arabic alphabet to the Latin alphabet, and it was studied from various angles.
In this article, the aim is to introduce the work in question to the Turkish science and to pay attention to its partially under researched factors. Thus, the article provides information on the masthead, writer, and literary genre of the work, and the flow of events is examined. Moreover, the aspects of “Shehriyar” related to Georgia are emphasized, and the image of the Tbilisi place in this work is being studied formally.
