1507043796 INVESTIGATION OF FOUR SEASONS IN LITERATURE FOUR NOVELS FRAME

Time perception in literature and usage way of time can be showed from a perception that is changeable depend on people’ emotions and psychology on past-now-future plane; at the same time, it can be shaped on objective criteria. Time can be each part of tangible or intangible perception as part of calendar time like hour, month, year, day in especially fiction structured literature pieces. As seasons can be part of reality that demonstrates objectivity of fictional structure; additionally, they can be supplementary elements od emotional atmosphere that is wanted to be given in sub-text. For that reason, seasons can be each indicator that sometimes shows time details of fiction or complete real atmosphere, sometimes imagines time transition in cosmic way or change of life in novel and sometimes they can be seen as a décor that completes the emotional atmosphere of novel and psychologic situation of characters. In this article, it is examined that how seasons are approached in novels with reference to four examples that have authority on Turkish literature. These novels would be selected, authorized arts for this study: Ferit Edgü (1936- ) O (Hakkâri’d e Bir Mevsim) which tells the struggle of a teacher who lives between reality and imagine after he find himself in a village in snow covered rocks to simplify himself – internal and external reality- and all difficulty of winter season; Ahmet HamdiTanpınar (1901-1962) Huzur that tells the effects of II. World War on people and society due sad decors of autumn; Adalet Ağaoğlu (1929- ) Romantik Bir Viyana Yazı that tells summer season which accompany to open ended semantic stratum, blur of life of Kamil Kaya who wanted to go Vien and lives between reality and imagine through his all life; Sevgi Soysal (1936-1976) Yürümek that tells relationships of character each other (Memet and Elâ) and spring season as the most important metaphor of social sensitivities.
