1494005065 ANALYSIS OF THE USAGE GUIDELINES IN TERMS OF TECHNICAL TRANSLATION

A usage guideline or a manual is a booklet that contains basic information on the correct and conscious use of something. It can be said that every product produced has a manual. The information in the operating instructions is usually technical content. For this reason, from time to time, it may contain difficult expressions to understand at first glance. This blurring in the expressions also brings with it inadequate sense. This leads to the inability of the manual to function properly. However, the most important function of the user manual is to ensure that the user moves correctly when using the product to which it belongs. Some difficulties that can arise during translating the source manual to the target language include translation mistakes. A misguided manual will, of course, become dysfunctional, and even more importantly, it can lead to serious handling problems. For this reason, it is of utmost importance that the translation of the manuals translated from the source language to the target language be taken into account in terms of technical translation and the causes of errors that may arise in the translation process. To this end, we will try to examine in our work translations of the manuals from the source language to the target language, together with its general characteristics. The source language is French and the target language is Turkic. We hope that the findings we will obtain as a result of this review will contribute to the elimination of translation errors in the manuals and to the scientific translation studies conducted in this context.
