The aim of this study is to determine the hopelessness levels of primary school teachers. The participants were 316 primary school teachers working for the state schools in İstanbul, Kartal. The data of the study were collected by Beck Hopelessness Scale. As the results of the study, according to the sex of the teachers who participated in the research, the average score of male motivation loss score was found to be statistically higher than that of female. According to their ages; significant differences were found. Motivation losses of participants aged 51 years and over were higher. According to the education levels; it was seen that there was no significant difference. There is no statistically significant difference. According to professional seniority; no significant difference was found. According to working time; it has been observed that despite the fact that new teachers in the profession are new, they are in despair in the future. According to working hours in the institution; no statistically significant difference was found.
