The invention of photography can be easily considered as the most important breaking point in the history of visual arts. Photography had very important impacts over visual arts and socio-political movements. The images which are objectively produced by the machine declared as the reality itself by many people. But because of the photographer or the nature of photography, there are many differences between the reality and the truth in the representation of photograph. Photography which is affected the affected the reality perception of society and the artist (as being a part of the society), It’s inevitably has been included in the interest area of arts. This study aims analyze the contemporary photographic image production within the borders of artistic production of reality and surrealist movement with a historical context.
